More resources allocated to ongoing schemes: Hoti

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has directed the acceleration of the pace of work on all ongoing development schemes in general and construction of new roads in particular in the province. He issued these directives while presiding over a meeting of the Department of Communication and Works (C&W) and Pakhtunkhwa Highway Authority (PHA) here in Chief Minister's Secretariat on Monday.
Besides, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Waqar-ul-Hassan, Secretary C&W Zahid Arif, Chief Engineer Ashraf Khan, Superintending Engineer Shahab Khattak, Director Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Highway Authority Javed Ihsan, Deputy Director Muhammad Uzair and others also attended the meeting.
Matters pertaining to progress on road projects in different districts, situation regarding funds allocation, confronting problems and its solution remained under discussion on the occasion. The Chief Minister said that net of quality roads has been extended across the province because we believe that roads have the central role in development of any area and promoting trade and economic activities. He said that the present government has allocated huge funds in ADP while keeping in mind the importance of this sector.
He said that more resources were allocated to ongoing schemes in order to ensure its timely completion and relief to people of concerned areas. He said that scarcity of resources will not hinder timely completion of these projects. He clarified no compromise on quality of construction on these projects. He lauded performance of concerned departments and hoped these institutions will keep up its departments and will improve it further.
