A 45-member delegation led by Indian Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal arrived here on Monday via Wagah border. Talking to the media, Rana Iqbal said friendly ties between Pakistan and India were growing rapidly. He said both the countries were making efforts to learn from each others experiences in various fields of life. The arrival of the Indian delegation shows that both countries are ready and making efforts for a better future, he added.
The Indian Deputy Chief Minister said that the arrival of the Indian delegation was in fact reunion of two real brothers. He said the co-operation with Pakistan in industry, sports and other fields would strengthen friendly ties between two countries. The Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal received the delegation and presented a bouquet to the Indian Deputy Chief Minister. Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, Education Minister Mujatba Shuja ur Rehman, MNA Pervaiz Malik, MPA Zaeem Qadri, Commissioner Lahore and senior civil and military officers were also present on the occasion.
