KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 181,801 tonnes of cargo comprising 100,783 tonnes of import cargo and 81,018 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 Hours.
The total import cargo of 100,783 comprised of 69,570
tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 1,356 tonnes of Chickpeas & 29,857 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 81,018 comprised of 36,354 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 253 tonnes of Bulk Cargo & 44,411 tonnes of Clinkers.
Approximately, 07 ships namely, Hmm Ocean, Big Glory, Eva Gold, Seaspan Oceania, Xin Pu Dong, Msc Cairo Iv & Mm Madrid berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Around, 03 ships namely, MT Shalamar, Nave Rigel & Maria Glory sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of ten ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two container ships, Seaspan Santosa and MSC Michigan-VII left the port on Wednesday morning, while four more ships, SM Mahi, Katsuyama, LMZ Pluto and CS Satira expected to sail on Wednesday afternoon. Cargo volume of 203,483 tonnes, comprising 98,851 tonnes imports cargo and 104,632 tonnes export cargo carried in 7,392 Containers (2,774 TEUs Imports &4,618 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 14 ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them four ships, Hansa Oslo, Nave Rigel, Kaisa-I and Marathopolis & another ship ‘MSC Cairo-IV’ caryying Palm oil, Gas oil, LPG and Container are expected to take berths at LCT, FOTCO, EVTL and QICT are respectively on Wednesday 26th February, while three more container ships, Tirua, One Reliability and Wan Hai-501 are due to arrive at outer anchorage on Thursday 27th February, 2025.
