Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister on Tuesday met Leader of the Opposition Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and enquired about his health. Nisar has been hospitalised here at the Federal Services Hospital (FSH) and was shifted to his home after the doctors declared that his health is improving, sources said. They said that both Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif remained with him for some time and expressed good wishes for his early recovery. The sources further said that during the meeting the PML-N top leadership also discussed the current political situation of the country and the issues related to putting in place a neutral caretaker set-up along with the party's preparation for upcoming general elections. They said that the PML-N leaders also discussed the recent statements by Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry and Army Chief General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani that triggered a new debate pertaining to clash of institutions in the country.
In a recent interview Nawaz Sharif had also stressed that all institutions should work within their respective constitutional jurisdiction. He said that clash of institutions at this stage would be further harmful for the nurturing democracy and supremacy of the parliament, as it is the main law making organ of the state.
