Additional Judge Islamabad High Court (IHC) Azeem Khan Afridi expressing dismay over the Judicial Commission decision stepped down from his position on Tuesday. According to details, Judicial Commission during its meeting had recommended not to appoint Azeem Khan Afridi on permanent basis which hurt him a lot.
It should be mentioned that the parliamentary committee for appointment of judges has approved the recommendations regarding appointing judges on undeviating base. Afridi repeatedly wrote to Judicial Commission, secretaries of Senate Secretariat and also lodged a review petition in IHC but after getting no positive response resigned as judge of IHC.
