Pakistan for best relations with all neighbours: Bukhari

Chairman Senate Syed Nayyer Hussain Bhukhari said that Pakistan desired the best of relations with all its neighbours, including India. Pakistan wishes to have friendly, co-operative and good neighbourly relations with India. He expressed these views at a meeting with Speaker of Indian Lok Sabha, Ms Meira Kumar and Indian Parliamentary delegates here on Tuesday.
The Chairman Senate emphasised the need for more interaction between Parliamentarians and declared that their role is very crucial in building stronger ties between the two countries.
He said that Parliamentarians represent people and particularly the will and desire of the people in a democratic dispensation and hence they can play vital and proactive role to move forward the dialogue process that can lead to ultimate resolution of pending issues between the two countries.
He further said that people-to-people contacts and frequent interactions can generate such a momentum, which can make this region to witness lasting peace and ultimate progress at fast pace.
Reciprocating the similar sentiments, the Indian Speaker said, "I have brought message of love, affection and friendship from people of India to people of Pakistan and this is the same message as was conveyed during my earlier visit to Pakistan".
She said that the two countries are heading towards third round of dialogue process and both sides have very strong desires to resolve issues and move ahead, adding that Parliamentarians from both sides should take leading roles to cement our bilateral relations.-PR
