PPP, MQM activists among eight killed in various incidents

Eight more people, including workers of PPP and MQM were killed in different violence incidents of city on Wednesday, police and rescue sources said. In first incident, unknown assailants attacked a car having registration number ALD-068 and killed a man namely Shaban Ali, 40, son of Abdul Hussain in the limits of Site-B police station.
The deceased was resident of North Nazimabad. Police said that deceased was on his way when unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate fire at his car in Haroonabad area as a result he died on the spot. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
In another incident, a worker of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was gunned down in Altaf Nagar in the limits of Manghopir police station. The deceased was identified as Sohail Karim,30, son Ahsan Karim, a resident of Zia Colony. Police said that unidentified armed men shot and killed Sohail before fleeing from the scene. The deceased was the younger brother of MQM UC-Nazim.
In another incident, two workers of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) were shot dead in Orangi Town Sector 11-1/2 in the limits of Pakistan Bazaar police station. The deceased were identified as Ali Raza,30 and Jhangir,28, workers of PPP PS-95. Police said that unidentified armed men riding motorcycle intercepted deceased persons near Chamcha Hotel, Orangi Town area and killed them with multiple gunshots. The deceased were the residents of the same area. The bodies were moved to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Meanwhile a man was killed while three other sustained injuries when unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate fire at hotel falling in the limits of Surjani Town police station. The deceased was identified as Abul Hassan son Shabir while injured were identified as Farhan, Qasi and Pir Jan. The deceased and injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy and medical treatment.
Two men identified namely Asif, 23, son of Dildar Balouch and Talib,25, son of Ishaq Balouch were gunned down when they were having tea at Bismillah hotel in Samo Goth in the limits of Memon Goth police station. Bodies were shifted to JPMC for medico-legal formalities. A man was also gunned down by unknown armed men in Orangi Town in the limits of Iqbal Market police station. He was identified as Hakeem Mohammad Irshad. The body was shifted to hospital for autopsy.
