Eminent nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan has stressed upon the patriotic political parties to unite at one platform and set up a grand alliance to save the country from complete destruction before it was too late. He was addressing a joint press conference with Jamaat-i-Islami Ameer Syed Munawar Hasan after a meeting with him at Mansoora.
The father of the country's atomic bomb said the masses were already deprived of Roti, Kapra and Makan, and if the things remained unchanged, the masses won't even get grass to eat. He said there was no dearth of resources in the country which had successfully built nuclear bomb and missiles making the country's defence impregnable, adding if the country got an honest leadership, it could achieve marvellous results. He said the government was blaming Taliban for the situation but in fact, the actual responsibility rested on the people who were in power, and added it was high time that honest and experienced people came forward to lead the nation. He said he would also meet PML-N leader Mian Nawaz Sharif and PTI Chief Imran Khan for this purpose, adding the JI comprised patriotic people whose integrity remained unchallenged.
Earlier, Syed Munawar Hasan welcomed Dr A Q Khan on arrival at Mansoora, and the two leaders discussed the situation obtaining in the country and other matters of mutual interest.
