The United States wants to control this region's politics and it is here to seize its resources, Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Fazlur Rehman claimed on Sunday. Addressing a conference titled 'Aalmi Ittehad Ummat-e-Muslima', Fazlur Rehman said that the domestic law and order situation was "very poor", adding that no rule of law existed in Balochistan.
Urging the government to quickly tackle the issue of lawlessness, he said that targeted killings in Balochistan and Karachi were continuing.
He said that his party would participate in the upcoming elections, adding that all political parties should participate in them as well. The Maulana demanded of the government to provide adequate protection to seminaries (Madressahs).
