Five people were killed and three others wounded in a collision between a passenger bus and truck near Noorpur Bridge due to condensed fog in Bahawalpur some 95 kilometres south of Multan on Wednesday. DPO Bahawalpur Suhail Chattha said that all the five people were member of a family and it happened due to reckless driving in foggy weather.
In two other mishaps in Muzaffargarh district, 14 persons were injured. DPO Muzaffargarh Zeeshan Asghar said that two trailer collided on Alipur Road due to fog resultantly four persons injured while 10 passengers injured when a van hit a truck near Ghazi Ghat. The Motorway authorities said there was moderate fog on the expressway at Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore and Faisalabad. Shallow fog was also reported on various areas alongside GT Road, and Multan, Jhang and Hafizabad, PTV reported.
