National Assembly's Sub-Committee on Public Accounts Committee (PAC) was told on Wednesday that the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan was allocated funds of Rs 180 million for the rehabilitation of Kashmir refugees and out of total funds, Rs 7 million was allocated to ISI for monitoring their movement.
The committee expressed its dissatisfaction over allocation of "huge" money. The officials of ministry told the committee that the ISI had been very much active in the AJK. The committee also showed displeasure over the misuse of government vehicles by Statistics Bureau of Pakistan. The committee, which met with Yasmeen Rehman in chair, was reviewing the audit accounts of Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan for 2005-06.
