Pakistan Muslim League-N will field strong candidates with good reputations in the upcoming general elections, PML-N president Nawaz Sharif said here on Thursday. He was talking to former MNA from Kot Addu (Muzaffargarh) Mian Ghulam Abbas Qureshi, former Senator Amjad Abbas and the party's former ticket-holder Mian Arshad Abbas Qureshi who called on him at Raiwind.
The country's political situation was also discussed in the meeting. Expressing the hope that people would give their mandate in favour of the PML-N, Nawaz Sharif said that the party's manifesto focussed on public service and resolving the common man's grievances, adding that his party was committed to its programme in this regard. Former senior vice-president Tehrik-e-Insaf Khwaja Muhammad Hoti, who was accompanied by his son Omar Farooq, also met Nawaz Sharif at Raiwind.
