APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM), Zafar Akbar Butt has said that ban on the processions of Muharram by the occupation authorities was the worst form of human rights violations.
Zafar Akbar Butt addressing a gathering at Ghaudsuth in Budgam deplored that the occupation authorities were depriving people of gas and other basic amenities, adding that the Kashmiris were facing such difficulties due to unresolved Kashmir dispute, KMS reported.
The APHC leader urged the world community to take notice of the human rights violations in the occupied territory and impress upon India to stop rights abuses and give the Kashmiris their inalienable right to self-determination. He paid rich tributes to the martyrs of the area including Farooq Ahmad Butt, Abdul Rahid Dar, Gulzar Ahmad and Abdul Rashid Shaikh.
