Balohistan cabinet meets in Islamabad today

19 Nov, 2012

The Federal Capital has become the centre of intense political activities as major political players in Balohistan government have moved to Islamabad after the interim order of the Supreme Court. For the first time in the history, Balochistan cabinet will be holding its meeting in Islamabad on Monday instead of Quetta. The cabinet meeting will be held at Balochistan House.
Provincial PPP leadership has strongly criticised the Chief Minister's decision for a cabinet meeting in Islamabad and termed it an attempt to pressure the judiciary. Sadiq Umrani, PPP Balochistan President has warned Chief Minister Raisaini to desist from such maneuvering particularly when he has lost the right to rule.
Though the agenda of the cabinet meeting was not disclosed but it is thought that the current crisis will be the main point of discussion in the Cabinet meeting.
Sadiq Umrani said the Chief Minister has no courage to hold the cabinet meeting in Quetta. He said provincial ministers supporting him would not attend the meeting. He said he had already informed the Prime Minister a few days back about the decision when he met him.
