Consul General of Iran in Karachi Abbas Ali Abdulhai visited Garhi Khuda Bux on Sunday and laid floral wreaths at the graves of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, Begum Nustrat Bhutto, Mir Murtaza Bhutto, Shahnawaz Bhuuto and Ameer Begum. Speaking on this occasion, Iranian envoy said the sacrifices of Bhutto family for the democracy will always be remembered in the history. Later, talking to the media at Circuit House, Larkana, the Consul General of Iran said Pakistan and his country have common culture and enjoy brotherly relations. "The cultural relations of two counties could be traced centuries back, as they are the hub of ancient civilisations.
Abbas Ali said his country had been helping the flood and rain-affected people of Sindh since 2010 and added that he had visited Mirpur Khas, Thatta, Badin and other areas to take stock of the losses caused by the rains and floods and needs of affected people. Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister for Relief Haleem Adil Shaikh accompanied the Iranian envoy.
