Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Monday directed the livestock department's authorities to organise a cattle show in Hyderabad next month in order to promote cattle farming. This he said while presiding over a meeting of livestock department at the Chief Minister's House.
Minister for Livestock Agha Tariq Pathan, Minister for Finance Syed Murad Ali Shah, Minister for Information Sharjeel Inam Memon, Chief Secretary Raja Muhammad Abbas, Secretary for Livestock Syed Abid Ali Shah, and officers of livestock department attended the meeting.
The Chief Minister said that livestock and poultry sector was very important as the country's meat and milk requirements were met by it. He said a number of livestock species in the province were famous world over for having maximum productivity of meat and milk and the skin. Earlier, the Secretary for livestock gave a detailed briefing to the Chief Minister on livestock.-PR
