In the third Amar Cables T20 Veteran Cricket Tournament, Textile Tigers and Lahore Muhammadan have qualified for the semi-final place. Textile Tigers defeated SPM Bucks in the tournament's third quarter-final played at Shah Faisal Cricket Ground on Tuesday. SPM Bucks batting first scored 142/9 after 20 overs. Ashfaq Aslam 30, Javeed Butt 29, Tariq Ramzan 19, Nadeem Baig 13 and Saud Cheema hit 10 runs. Textile Tigers Zulfqar Ali grabbed 2/22, Zulfqar Ahmad 2/26, Hafiz Saeed 1/30 and Maqsood Ahmad 1/36 wickets.
In reply Textile Tigers scored 146/5 after 20 overs. Rizwan Nisar scored 30, Ali Amjad 33, Karamat Ali 28, Javeed Hafeez 19 and Ashraf Ali 17 runs not out. Sohail Imran took 3/24 and Khalid Habib 1/21 wickets. Chief Guest Salman Khan give away man of the match award to Ali Amjad.
In the 4th quarter-final match played at Race Course Park Cricket Ground, Lahore Muhammadan defeated Lahore Tigers. Lahore Muhammadan batting first scored 180/5 after 20 overs. Inzamam ul Haq scored 38, Khawaja Nadeem Ahmad 32, Ghaffar Kazmi 31, Ahmad Shohab 29 and Mohtasham Rasheed 27 runs. Lahore Tigers Ismaeel ur Rehman grabbed 3/36 and Muhammad Anees 2/32.
In reply, Lahore Tigers scored 141 runs in 20 overs. Zaheer Iqbal hit 39, Muhammad Yaqoob 14, Khalid Jamshaid 13, Sadat Ali 13 and Ismaeel ur Rehman 13 runs. Lahore Muhammadan's Saleem Malik took 4/13, Qadeer Khan 1/8, Mohtasham 1/20, Imran Bucha 1/28 and Tariq Siddiqui 1/26. At the of the match chief guest Chief Executive PVCA Nawab Ashiq Hussain Qureshi give away man of the match award to Saleem Malik.
