A paper work has been completed for the establishment of state-of-the-art International Cricket Coaching Academy having International Gym, Indoor and Outdoor Net Practice, Hostel and International Stadium facilities at Narrwala Road in University of Agriculture, Faisalabad.
This was revealed during the meeting of Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, Vice Chancellor in his Chamber with world No 1 one bowler Saeed Ajmal on Tuesday. While briefing the Vice Chancellor, Saeed Ajmal told him that the purpose of establishing International Cricket Academy at Faisalabad is to provide opportunities to deprived youth in under-developed areas of Faisalabad and in adjacent areas as well. He was of the view that a lot of talent is being spoiled due to negligence that's why he decided to take such initiative for talented youth of his home town.
Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan reiterated his commitment for all moral and logistic support for this unique and great initiative which ultimately would become a source of capacity building for young generation. Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that proposed land has been allocated on Narrwala Road, which is most suitable venue for this venture. Saeed Ajmal thanked Hamza Shahbaz for announcing International Cricket Academy and hoped that Punjab Government will provide financial support for this purpose.
