LDA seals 14 properties

The Commercialisation Directorate of Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has sealed a total of 14 properties in different localities of metropolis on Thursday. According to a LDA's spokesperson, situated in Johar Town, Gulberg and Garden Town, these properties have been sealed on accountant of their failure in depositing commercialisation fee despite issuance of challan forms for this purpose and repeated notices for making the due payments.
The 10 buildings included car show rooms and workshops situated along Moulana Shoukat Ali Road, R block and Khokhar Chowk. The four sealed buildings in Gulberg included an art gallery, a restaurant and two show rooms along with a café while a clinic and an office had been sealed in Garden Town.
Meanwhile, in exercise of her powers conferred upon her under Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability Act 2006, Additional Director General (HQ) Lahore Development Authority Mariam Kayani has dismissed Zafar Iqbal Ranjha, Assistant Director Law from service, on account of his failure in performing official duties.
