Altaf condemns Rawalpindi blast

23 Nov, 2012

Chief Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain has deplored the deadly suicide blast in the procession of mourners on Misriyal Road in Dhoke Syedian area of Rawalpindi. Expressing his grief and sorrow on the martyrdom of several persons in the blast and injuring of many others, Hussain said if the killings of the mourners and other innocent people continued relentlessly, the fire of terrorism would engulf the entire country.
He said the situation might reach at a point where the terrorists could not be stopped altogether, and the wave of terrorism would burn everything to ashes. He urged upon the government and the law-enforcing agencies that there was yet time. "They should pursue the terrorists and eliminate them from the country as the integrity and security of the country hinged upon it. If no action was taken against the terrorists and their activities continued unstoppably, there would be complete destruction." Hussain asked all the religious and political parties of the country to come forward and play an active role against terrorism. He asked them to show unity and save Pakistan from destruction.
