A six-member delegation of the Jamaat-i-Islami, led by the JI Secretary General, Liaqat Baloch, called on the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), Justice Fakhruddin G. Ibrahim (Retd), in his office in the Federal capital, on Wednesday. According to spokesman of JI, the delegation presented the JI case for election symbol, for a code of conduct for elections and its effective enforcement to stop pre poll rigging and the correction of voters' lists all over the country.
The delegation included the JI Islamabad Chief Mian Muhammad Aslam and other party leaders. The JI Secretary General impressed upon the CEC that the registration of voters all over the country was the responsibility of the EC.
