A prominent leader of the PML-N Rao Qaiser Ali Khan called on Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf here on Wednesday. During the meeting Rao Qaisar praised the decision of the government to increase the support price of wheat to Rs 1200/-. "This decision of the government has won the hearts of the farmers and rural people", he said.
The pro-farmer policies of the government, Rao Qaiser said are widely hailed by the people. The Prime Minister said that the Pakistan People's Party is committed to working for the farmers, labourers and down-trodden and strongly believes that the progress of the country is inextricably linked to improvement in the condition of the rural and down-trodden. Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo and Syed Sumsam Ali Shah Bokhari, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting were also present on the occasion.
