Meeting held to review multi-donor funded projects

The Multi Donors Trust Fund (MDTF) portfolio review meeting was held in Fata secretariat which was chaired by Secretary Planning and Development (P&D) Fata Shahzad Khan Bangash and Country Director World Bank Rachid Benmessaoud jointly.
The meeting was attended by high level officials of the Fata secretariat the World Bank. Addressing the meeting, Secretary P&D Fata Shahzad Khan Bangash said that Post Crisis Needs Assessment (PCNA) for having identified the core drivers and solution to the crisis is an important document.
Appreciating the role of the World Bank, he said that World Bank has always been very helpful and we are very appreciative of World Bank for administering MDTF projects very prudently. He said that a very cognisant and committed leadership is there to address the issues and hoped that in the next portfolio review meeting some of the success stories will be shared with the partners.
Country Director World Bank Rachid Benmessaoud stressed the need for regular review meetings to ensure effective implementation of the MDTF projects. "Such meetings could help us timely address any issues or bottlenecks, he added. He further said that concerted efforts are needed to show results as results were necessary for having more funds from the donors."I hope in the next portfolio review meeting we will be discussing results, benefiting the people, instead of processes", he maintained.
