Karachi purely a political issue: Mushahid

Secretary General PML-Q Mushahid Hussain Sayed has said PLM-Q has started its national campaign ahead of the upcoming general elections. Addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club, Mushahid Hussain said that PML-Q always believes in delivering the best out best available resources.
Advisor to Chief Minister for Relief and the General Secretary of PML Sindh Haleem Adil Sheikh was also present on this occasion. He said that the people should be ready to see "surprises and unpredictable" event during the elections. "People need the best governance and political parties which deliver," he added.
Praising relief efforts of Haleem Adil Sheikh, he said: "Even opposition politicians have praised his hard work." Commenting on the issue of providing safety for working journalists, he said that journalist should be given insurance coverage, adding that journalists and their families should be given similar support as was given to personnel of paramilitary, police and Army.
He said that it was an irony that cameras were insured but the man behind the camera was not.
Talking about the issue of law and order situation in Karachi, Mushahid Hussain said: "This is purely a political issue which can only be solved via bilateral talks between all political parties." He said that if bad law and order situation persisted in Karachi, it would affect national economy, the country's standing abroad, besides harming the inter-provincial harmony and democratic set up.
