A military court on Friday has rejected the appeals of seven convicts involved in the GHQ terror attack. According to a report, the military appellate court upheld the verdict of a military court which earlier handed down death penalty to Aqeel aka Dr Usman, a key accused of the terror attack that led to the killing of several military men, including a brigadier.
The court had also awarded 25-year jail term to two accused while a 10-year imprisonment to three others in the same case. A group of militants stormed the General Headquarters of the Pakistan Army on October 10, 2009. Army commandos killed nine of the attackers while Dr Usman was arrested.
