Petitions filed against Rehman Malik

Three petitions were filed on Friday against Interior Minister Rehman Malik in the Supreme Court of Pakistan regarding his ministership, honorary degree and dual nationality. The petitions filed by social worker Mahmood Akhter Naqvi in the SC Karachi registry pleaded the apex court that how could a person, declared as no more a sagacious, righteous, non-profligate and honest by the SC could hold a high-profile government job.
Through another appeal, he said that a person declared as no more a sagacious and righteous has no right to possess an honorary degree. Through his third application, Naqvi pleaded that the apex court should scrutinise Rehman Malik's documents claiming that he had renounce his dual nationality.
