Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is facing immense pressure after different survey reports claimed that the party was fast losing its popularity. Party insiders said that a meeting, headed by PTI chief Imran Khan, was held some days ago to take stock of the situation, especially after the recent clean sweep in bye-elections by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
It is learnt that the party had decided to launch a mass contact drive in the country. They said that the party leadership realised that its go-slow policy will not work at this stage, as other political rivals, especially PML-N, initiated their campaigns.
The PTI has a huge presence in social media and the youth are vigorously pursuing its agenda to bring the desired change in the country's political landscape. But of late, PML-N also shifted its focus on youth issues. The PTI leadership dwelt at length on how PML-N managed to make inroads among the youth, but they are confident that the youth have proved time and again that their favourite party is only PTI.
