Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI)'s Women Wing held a meeting on Saturday to finalise arrangements and strategy for intra-party elections. PTI leader Abdul Aleem Khan presided over the meeting, which was also attended by Nosheen Hamed Meraj, Talat Naqvi, Ayesha Khalid, Najamul Sahar, Naseem Zohara, Aneela Beig, Dr Sania Chaudhry and others. During the meeting, duties were assigned to the ladies to mobilise party voters at union council level and ensure maximum participation, said a PTI's spokesperson.
Addressing the meeting, Abdul Aleem Khan said women would play an important role in bringing countrywide change. He also said ladies were conveying message of Imran Khan to every corner of the country and expressed hope that women would actively participate in the party elections and ensure their maximum turn-over in these elections. In the meeting, the Women Wing agreed to start tour of towns and mobilise ladies at union council level.
Meanwhile, as winter sets in, PTI women activist, Sadqa Sahibdad, Dr Khalida Tareen, Dr Nousheen Hamid Miraj, Talat Naqvi and Dr Seemi Bokhari, sent off a truck load of quilts to Jaffarabad in Balochistan. Hundreds of quilts will be distributed by the Insaf Student Federation (ISF) in Balochistan.
