The alliance between Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will gain more strength in the forthcoming general elections, PML-Q President Senator Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said. During a meeting with the newly-elected MPA from Narowal Omar Sharif who met him at his Gulberg residence on Saturday, Shujaat said there is no political figure in Pakistan at present who can say that he is popular among the people from Khyber to Karachi.
Those who consider themselves to be popular among the masses are living in fool's paradise and they would realise very soon that the people are not going to trust their false promises this time, he said. Elahi said on the occasion that people have rejected "lota" politics of the Punjab rulers. He said that PML-Q is the party of the masses in which everyone has right to express himself and in 2008 general elections we secured representation in all the four provincial assemblies. In future, he said, we will get more votes than before and plead for the rights of the people.
