National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has awarded certificate of recognition to Transparency International - Pakistan. The certificate was awarded at a function held at Bahria University, which is run by Pakistan Navy, Islamabad on December 5, by Chairman, NAB, Admiral Retd. Fasih Bokhari. The function was also attended by Senator Raza Rabbani Executive Director, TI-Pakistan, Saad Rashid received the certificate on behalf of the organisation.
It is a strange logic that whereas the ruling Peoples Party politicians and ministers like Rehman Malik and Qamar Zaman Kaira get jittery and refuse to call a 'spade a spade', NAB which is the country's highest watchdog and mandated to curb and eliminate corruption, gives a pat on the shoulder of President, Sohair Muzaffar, Adviser, Syed Adil Gilani, and executive director, Saad Rashid, men behind the TI-Pakistan endeavouring hard to weed out corruption from the country.
