PESHAWAR: Pakistan Muslim League-N Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif has called for national consensus on Kalabagh Dam as it could be difficult to handle the issue without building consensus. "The entire nation should decide to resolve the KBD, as it is more complicated to handle without development of national consensus," Sharif told a press conference at Mardan on Monday, wherein Central leader Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, Nawabzada Khawaja Mohammad Khan Hoti announced to quit his party and join PML-Nawaz.
Mian Nawaz Sharif has expressed his concerns over prevailing situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Karachi and Balochistan, adding that innocent people were ultimately suffered by acts of terrorism in these areas. Flanked by former chief minister and PML-N Central leader Sardar Mehtab Abbasi and provincial leaders, Nawaz Sharif held the PPP-led coalition government responsible for prevailing chaos in Karachi, Balochistan and elsewhere in the country.
He viewed that the situation was getting worse with every passing day. "No effective steps were taken by incumbent government to address the key issues like shortage of energy, unemployment and especially corruption from the country," he added. He recalled that Pakistan had stronger against the India in 1999, but the present ruler's policies adversely undermined the country, and said law brokers definitely faced the charges.
Sharif said the government had failed to give any sign of relief to masses during last four and half year, and added that electricity and gas crisis had not only hit hard the business and industrial growth, but also common man was ultimately suffered from it.
Commenting on unrest situation in Karachi, he said it was more peaceful part of the county in his government, saying the nation would decide destine and future of the country. "It would send a great message to supporters of dictators, that the parliament will complete will complete its five year constitutional period in the country," he welcomed.
He asked the nation to decide future leadership on basis of performance and elect an honest and devoted people by power of vote. If people, he said, would consider PML-N as real political force then vote it, saying his party would create a new Pakistan. "We will give a brighter and radian future to our coming generals," he promised. Expressing the growing chaos in Karachi and Balochistan, he held the coalition government responsible for the turbulent situation. Welcoming the joining PTI leader, Nawabzada Khawaja Mohammad Hoti in PML-N, he expressed the entry of new stalwart from other parties, would strength Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
Unfortunately, he said the dictators didn't give them chance to complete his government five years period in two consecutive terms, if we had completed it, then started a bullet-train from Khyber to Karachi with fastest pace. PML-N Chief said his party would put the country on path of prosperity and development by getting overwhelming triumph in the next general elections. He viewed that inventors were reluctant to invest in the country due to ongoing situation, causing adversely impacts on national economy of the country.
He said the successive governments had failed to deliver the masses since inception of country. "Everyone used power for their vested interest but didn't nothing for better and development of the state," he maintained. While, he said those wanted to play their role for betterment of the country, put them behind the bar, executed or exile from the country.
