Leaders of agriculture trade union have strongly condemned the killing of merchants dealing with business of fruits in D I Khan, demanding for immediate arrest of their killers and give an exemplary punishment.
Speaking at a press conference at Peshawar Press Club on Monday, All Pakistan Agriculture Produce Traders Federation, Provincial President, Malik Sohni informed that some unidentified armed men had brutally killed Mohammad Anees and Mohammad Ihsan, son of prominent merchant and two other Abid and Fazal a few day ago at Fruit Mandi, D I Khan.
Flanked by merchants and wholesale dealers of fruits, he said that incident was happened due to lack of protection measures for merchants at the Mandi. He criticised that government had collected huge levies from merchants, but no step was being taken to provide protection to them, he lamented.
