At the ceremony, Dean & Director IBA, Dr Ishrat Husain and Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer Getz Pharma, Khalid Mahmood signed a Memorandum of Understanding that is aimed at establishing strategic partnership between both the parties to promote academic and applied research in the country.
This collaboration will focus on supporting students with financial needs to succeed in their academic and professional pursuits and will also be used in advancing social applications of research and fostering the growth of promising students. Emphasising the importance of this strategic agreement, Dr Ishrat Husain said: "I am very much delighted that one of Pakistan's indigenous but leading Pharma companies has demonstrated that local companies do not lag behind others in discharging their responsibilities towards the society. We at IBA deeply value Getz Pharma's generous gesture and would like to nominate Getz Pharma in the board of trustees for Friends of IBA Trust (FIBAT)."
Khalid Mahmood expressed his gratitude to the IBA management and said that Getz Pharma doesn't only promote regional CSR practices, but works forwards within its global CSR policy for the development of society by contributing in educational, environmental, cultural and healthcare projects.
