Staff of the Commercialisation Directorate of Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Thursday sealed as many as 25 properties for not depositing commercialisation fee despite being served repeated notices. According to a LDA's spokesperson, the sealed properties are situated on College Road, Town Ship.
Meanwhile, the Commercialisation Directorate issued notices for permanent commercialisation to the owners/occupants of temporary commercialised properties, situated on the 48 declared roads under its control, subsequent to the LDA decision to close annual commercialisation after December 31. Commercial activity had been allowed on 48 roads, situated in LDA schemes, under Land Use Rules 2009. LDA has also decided not to extend permission for annual/temporary commercialisation on roads other than the 48 declared roads after December 2013.
