SCCI urged to ascertain demand of Pakistani products in Bangladesh market

Bangladesh High Commissioner to Pakistan Suhrab Hossain has stressed upon the business community of Sialkot that they should travel to ascertain the demands of Pakistani products especially surgical instruments in BD market.
The HC said there was a great need of further promotion of trade ties between Bangladesh and Pakistan adding that collective efforts were direly needed for widening shipping service for enhancing the volume of bilateral trade between the two countries.
Addressing the members of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on Thursday he informed the housed that visa applications were being processed in a day but invitation is must for obtaining visa for the visit of BD. He said the provision of uninterrupted electricity and gas supply to industrial sector was top priority of the government just to keep the production wheel in full motion in BD adding that we are getting electricity from India and Burma for catering the needs of industrial sector of the country.
BD was also producing cotton but we are importing cotton from Pakistan for the export of quality garments products he said. The BD envoy further told the house that a special mechanism had been developed for facilitating the women workforce under which day care centre's were established by the factory owners jointly enabling the women workers to work without any mental pressure. In his address of welcome President SCCI Sheikh Abdul Majid said that despite having enormous resources, the Muslim nations were still lagging behind in terms of industrialisation and technological advancement and under the prevailing circumstances we need to develop joint strategy.
