A delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Thursday called on chairman Pakistan Ulema Council, Allama Tahir Ashrafi, at local hotel and discussed with him the prevailing law and order situation in the country. The MQM delegation comprised members coordination committee Waseem Aftab, Saif Yar Khan, Khalid Umar, Rauf Siddiqui, Dilawer Khan and Nasir Yameen.
The MQM leaders said that some elements with vested interests were hatching conspiracies to create sectarian chaos and destabilise the country. They added that killing of religious clerics belonging to different schools of thoughts in Karachi were aimed to incite sectarianism in the country. On this occasion Asharafi lauded the endeavour of MQM chief Altaf Hussian for promoting sectarian harmony and brotherhood in the country.
