Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Barrister Masood Kausar, said that selfless humanitarian services rendered both in collective and individual capacities are always held in highest esteem in the society whose contribution towards betterment of humanity indeed deserves to be acknowledged visibly.
Addressing as the chief guest at a grand condolence reference arranged to pay homage to the humanitarian services rendered by renowned figures of the society: late Dr Saeed Kamal Khan; Engr. Gohar Ali Yousafzai, properly known as Gohar Mama and a student, Mohammad Israr Khan at Nishter Hall, Peshawar, on Thursday evening. The Governor also pointed out that it indeed is a matter of great satisfaction to witness the youth of the present age contributing devotedly to this purpose.
The reference arranged by a prominent political and social figure, Zahir Shah Toru and his colleagues, was also addressed by MPA, Anwar Saifullah Khan who is also the provincial president of the Pakistan People's Party, Engineer Ghani Gul Mahsud, Professor Dr Muhammad Shafique, Mohtarma Nazli Sardar, Waheed Afzal Golrra, besides Toru himself.
Besides the scions of late Dr Saeed Kamal Khan, Engr. Gohar Ali and the father of late Mohammad Israr Khan, the ceremony was also largely attended by prominent political and social figures who also included provincial ministers Syed Zahir Ali Shah, Muhammad Hamayun Khan and Liaquat Shabab and MNA, Najmudding Khan. A condolence message of the President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, was also read out on this occasion.
Appreciating the services rendered by Dr Saeed Kamal Khan and the others the Governor further stated that their inspirational role also accrues results in wider perspectives for betterment of humanity and the society and it is always his earnest desire to witness the youth in particular contributing significantly towards collective well-being of the nation. We as a nation, he remarked, are beyond doubt custodians of tremendous contribution and matchless sacrifices of our great leaders for the nation and the country which indeed deserves to be acknowledged. This reference, he added, is also an appreciable step on part of the organisers. He also assured every possible support and patronage to the organisers to help them carrying forward their humanitarian services.
