PSORAL's three-day national conference begins

The inauguration ceremony of the three-day 24th National Conference of Pakistan Society of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery (PSORL) was held at a local hotel here on Friday. Many Otolaryngologists and Head & Neck Surgeons from all over Pakistan and other regions of the world are participating in the conference.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony as Chief Guest, Professor Masood Hameed Khan, Vice Chancellor Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), lauded the PSORL for organizing the event regularly. He said that overseas Pakistanis including doctors have maintained soft image of Pakistan in the world. He suggested that the conference should focus on human resource development, research work, training undergraduates, postgraduates and faulty. "At the conclusion a unanimous resolution should be passed on these suggestions in order to set goals for next year," Hameed said. He said that Pakistanis should own their country.
On this occasion, Dr Zakirullah presented annual report of the society. He said that PSORL had organised various health symposiums, seminars, workshops and other academic programs all over the country. Professor M. Saleem Marfani and others also spoke. The conference will be continued till 16th December 2012.
