Complete shutdown was observed in Sopore, Occupied Kashmir, for the second consecutive day, Thursday, against the killing of several Kashmiri youth including a 10th class student, Aatir Dar, during Indian military operations in the town. The situation in the town remains tense and the personnel of Indian paramilitary and police have been deployed in the area to prevent people from taking out anti-India processions against the killings, Kashmir Media Service reported.
"The town is shut in mourning," said a local resident of the town, adding that incidents of clashes between protesters and Indian forces were reported in the area. The police resorted to force to disperse the angry protesters.
