At least six people drowned Saturday when a boat capsized in a river of Bangladesh's south-western Magura district, police said. The boat carrying 20 people sank in the middle of Nabaganga river amid dense fog, about 100 kilometers from the capital Dhaka. Fourteen passengers managed to swim ashore, police officer Shyama Prashad said, quoting the survivors.
Local residents retrieved the bodies from the river before rescue divers reached the site, he said.
