Terrorists given free hand in name of reconciliation: JI

24 Dec, 2012

Jamaat-i-Islami Punjab Ameer Dr Syed Waseem Akhtar said that the government has given free hand to terrorists' groups like MQM in Karachi in the name of politics of reconciliation. Talking to the journalists here on Sunday, he claimed that fake national identity cards were being made in Karachi for the upcoming elections and serious conspiracy was being hatched against the country.
He asked all political parties to talk about serious issues while setting their tiny interests aside. He pointed out that the country got 65 percent of its revenue from Karachi but the investors and industrialists quit the city because of lawlessness. He asked the concerned authorities not to make any compromise on peace in Karachi and ensure free and fair election.
He said that free and fair polls were the only way to clear Karachi of terrorists and extortionists.
