'Lahore Museum's artifacts on Christian' themes inaugurated

An exhibition of Lahore Museum's Artifacts on Christian themes was inaugurated jointly by Rt. Revd. Irfan Jamil, Bishop of Lahore and Rt. Revd. Dr Alexander John Malik, Bishop Emeritus of Lahore in Gandhara Art Gallery of the Museum on Monday. The exhibition will remain open till January 6, 2013 from 9:00am to 4:00pm except Fridays.
The dignitaries from Christian Community and others including Dean of Cathedral Church Shahid P.Mairaj, Ex-Principal NCA Ms Sajida Vandal, and a large number of art lovers were present on the occasion. Later, they went round the exhibition and took keen interest in different artifacts, manuscripts and miniature paintings on Christian themes displayed in the exhibition.
Earlier, Bishop Emeritus of Lahore Dr Alexander John Malik briefed the participants about the history of Christianity in the subcontinent. He also thanked the management of Lahore Museum for arranging the exhibition associated with Christian philosophy on the eve of Christmas.
