National Cotton Conference will be organised next month to highlight and resolve the problems faced by the cotton traders, growers and ginners and PCGA has planned to educate and convince the growers not to use the uncertified and spurious seed of cotton. Instead they should sow certified, genuine and well germinated seed.
Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA), presiding over a meeting, Chairman Mahesh Kumar said that cotton trade was facing external threats due to the cartel of Aptma members. The meeting decided to constitute the reconciliatory committees at district and division level to settle the disputes and framing the new rules, by-laws, and regulations to run the business of the association. The meeting was attended by ex-chairmen, Amanullah Qureshi, Haji Muhammad Akram, vice chairmen, Waheed Arshad,Shehzad Ali Khan, Ghulam Rabbani, Sheikh Asim Saeed.
