Three FC men were killed in separate incidents in Balochistan, officials said on Tuesday. A spokesperson for FC said that two FC men had been killed after a convoy was ambushed the other day in Mehi village while it was on its way to Mashkay from Khuzdar, a spokesperson of the Frontier Corps said on Tuesday.
He said that FC personnel were on their way to take action in Mashkay and adjoining areas and BLF terrorists were involved in the incident. According to him, several criminals had been killed in ensuing action. He claimed that FC soldiers had destroyed two camps run by terrorists in the area, adding that important evidence had also been collected during the FC action. He said that an FC jawan had been killed during the action in mashkay. The FC spokesperson said that BLF activists and criminal elements were involved in incidents of targeted killings, bomb explosions, abductions for ransom and other crimes on the directives of Dr Nazar in Khuzdar, Mashkay, Awaran and various areas in Makran, creating harassment among people in these areas.
He claimed these elements were involved in incidents of terrorism in Balochistan at the behest of anti-state elements, adding that they would be brought to justice. Local people, the spokesperson said, were fully co-operating with FC personnel in their bid to eliminate terrorists and criminals from the area.
