On the occasion of his 53rd birthday, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has finally joined the Instagram family.
The 'Dangal' star found another way to stay connected with his fans by expanding his social media presence. Within hours, Khan’s followers on Instagram shot up to 269,000. The actor chose a collage of his mother's pictures to be his first few posts on the picture platform.
Although Khan has a huge following, both online and offline, his debut on the photo-sharing service is just another way to keep his fans updated about his life and upcoming projects.
Not only Khan’s joining the photo sharing platform grabbed headlines, the superstar's first photo posted is being talked about too. “Enough thought is being put on what should be the first post on the photo sharing platform. And he wants to keep it something very special,” a source told Bollywood Life.
He posted a grid of nine photos of his mother under the caption, "The person because of whom I am who I am".
Earlier in 2014, the news of Aamir Khan joining Instagram spread like fire. However, Khan took to Twitter and called the news to be untrue. “Guys, I am not on Instagram. It is obviously some fake account,” he tweeted.
Presently, Khan has 23 million followers on Twitter and his official Facebook page has around 15 million likes.
On the film front, the superstar is currently in Jodhpur shooting his next film 'Thugs of Hindostan', where he will share screen with Amitabh Bachchan, for the first time.
