Sharp fall in temperature forecast

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Wednesday forecast a sharp fall in temperature in the next 3 days. The PMD in its fresh weather advisory said: "Weather over upper parts of the country during next 2-3 days will remain cold while the weather is very likely to grip most parts of the country during the weekend."
It said another weather system, presently triggers rain and snow over Iran and Afghanistan is heading towards Pakistan which is expected to reach Pakistan horizon on Thursday evening/night. "Under the influence of this weather system, scattered rain is expected over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Upper Punjab, Northeast Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir from Thursday evening to Saturday. While good snowfall is predicted over the hills of Upper KPK, Gilgit-Baltistan, Galliyat, Murree and Kashmir on Friday and Saturday," it added. It pointed out that Barani areas of Punjab and KPK are likely to receive good rainfall during the next three days. It said the rainfall will help the standing crops grow.
