Imtiaz made new boss: services of Pral CEO Nasiruddin terminated

The Federal Board of Revenue has terminated the services of Chief Executive Officer Pakistan Revenue Automation (Pvt) Ltd - Pral Nasiruddin Khan with immediate effect and appointed Imtiaz Ahmad Khan (General Manager Pral) as new Chief Executive of the organisation.
It is learnt on Thursday that this decision was taken by the Board of Directors of Pral during its meeting held on 27thDecember 2012 presided by FBR Chairman Ali Arshad Hakeem and attended by the members of the FBR. Pral is a subsidiary of the Federal Board of Revenue and engaged in IT projects and software development of the FBR. During the meeting, the overall progress of Pral and its senior management was reviewed. The FBR has issued a notification and given look after charge of the CEO Pral to Imtiaz Ahmed Khan. Imtiaz has been appointed as new CEO in view of vast experience of IT related projects particularly electronic tax systems of the FBR. He has ample experience in development and operations of all tax-related electronic system like Integrated Tax Management System (ITMS). Imtiaz completed his Masters in Computer Science from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad in 1982. He served Wapda Computer Centre for 15 years and left Wapda as Director of Computer Operations Lahore Region in 1996.
He has been serving Pral for last 16 years. Imtiaz has worked on the computerisation of Customs, Income Tax and Sales Tax as Federal Taxes and the automation of Sindh Board of Revenue and Punjab Revenue Authority for Sales Tax on Services. He played a vital role in development and implementation of e-filing and e-payment system in FBR.
