Quetta Gladiators have won the toss and elected to bowl first against Lahore Qalandars at Sharjah on Wednesday.
Sitting at the second spot with 10 points in eight matches, including five wins and three losses, the Gladiators have already established their place for the play offs. However, finishing off the points table in the top two would surely increase their chances of making into the finals.
The Gladiators have shown a tremendous fight back, after a dismal start to their PSL campaign, the Sarfraz’s side mentored by the legendary Sir Viv Richards has been unbeaten in their last three games.
Shane Watson and Kevin Pietersen have been in top form for the Gladiators and are equally supported by a varied bowling line up, featuring Anwar Ali, Rahat Ali and Hasan Khan.
Meanwhile, the Lahore Qalandars have finally taken off, though it has been too late for them. With four points in eight matches, their chances for making into the playoffs have become the point of discussion among cricketing circles on social media.
However, McCullum’s side may have been short of points they have not been short of providing entertainment, as they provided with one of the most exciting T20 matches ever after they edged on arch-rivals Karachi Kings by five runs in the super over.
