Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira on Sunday said that the Pakistan People's Party led government has taken several measures to resolve the problems of people at their doorstep. Addressing a gathering at Nedala village, Kaira said that the government initiated record development projects throughout the country.
He said that around one billion rupees development projects have been approved for Kharian and Lalamusa. Work is underway to provide gas supply to 60 villages of the area, he added.
He said: "We never ask the people to vote in the name of development as the PPP believes in taking forward the vision of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benzair Bhutto."
Kaira said that not a single corruption allegation has been levelled against him by the opposition and media. "I will resign if anyone proves the corruption of a single penny against me," he added.
