Patch for older versions of Internet Explorer

04 Feb, 2013

Microsoft has released security updates for three older versions of Internet Explorer. Users of IE 6, 7 and 8 should install the update in order to close a critical security vulnerability in the browser, according to Germany's Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). IE 9 and 10 are not affected by the issue.
Users with the automatic Windows update activated don't need to do anything. If this function is deactivated users should manually download and install the update.
